The client, an auto parts manufacturer, needed evaluation results for frictional grip between pipe and bracket for transmission of engine oil, and assessment of the structural integrity to ensure impact of any additional stress on pipe. HitechDigital FEA analysts came up with an effective design alternative [and validated the new designs] near the bracket and outer surface of pipe for operational safety by carrying out design analysis.
HitechDigital engineers received the CAD models which were analyzed to improve the existing bracket designs for betterment in frictional grip. The analysis results lead the engineers to propose a new design of including broach at the inner surface of bracket. New design was tested for structural and elastic deformation which showed a significant improvement in the frictional grip.
